Acrew Appoints Maitree Mervana Parekh to Principal

One of our core values at Acrew is a commitment to the ongoing development of ourselves and the teams we support. It’s especially rewarding to be able to recognize the development of our team members as they grow. So we’re very happy to announce that Maitree has been promoted to Principal to recognize her contribution to Acrew as a firm and our expectations of even more great things to come.

Maitree was the first hire on the investment team and joined at the closing of our first Acrew fund. She has been deeply engaged in our consumer and fintech thesis areas and is an active thought leader on how Web3 is transforming both Fintech and Community. Investments Maitree has been involved in co-leading or supporting include Afterparty, Banked :, Blush, Diem, La Haus, Lolli, ShopShops, and Superpeer.

Also, Maitree actively mentors and fosters community across young women to increase representation within the tech ecosystem and hopes to drive equitable capital distribution. She was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 for Venture Capital in 2022.

Maitree is currently actively investing in companies within our Community Activated, Financial Services Rebuilt and Web 3.0 / Crypto thesis areas and is particularly excited about businesses leveraging crypto to create meaningful consumer experiences.
